Summer (she/her) works from a client-centered approach. Summer works to socially locate clients in their contextual worlds and acknowledges the impact that one’s intersecting identities have on each person. She aims to help facilitate client insights into their own social worlds through contextual and attachment lenses.
She believes in meeting individuals where they are in their lives, honouring their unique experiences, and collaborating with them to foster deeper self-understanding. Her approach is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and respect for each person’s journey.
Summer has experience working with families, children, youth, and individuals. Summer has worked with a wide range or presenting concerns including, relationship issues, intimate partner violence, anxiety, depression, life-transitions, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), 2SLGBTQI+ concerns, personality disorders, and neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., ADHD, ASD, Developmental and speech delays).
Summer believes that while harm often occurs through our social connections, healing can also emerge through relationships built on trust and empathy.
