Jay is happy to work with an extensive range of clients and organizes his practice around providing Client-Centred Therapy grounded in empirically-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Additionally, Jay has lived experience as a first responder and is passionate about addressing the unique challenges associated with fulfilling such roles. In Jay's experience working with people over the last 10 years, he has found that often their challenges are best addressed first and foremost by being heard; this act of listening is a gift that unlocks the resources hidden within.
Jay has extensive experience working with couples, families and individuals looking to improve their lives in the areas of life skills, ADHD coping, ASD coping and trauma. Additionally, he has years of experience supporting youth with ADHD, ASD and various learning and behavioural challenges.
Jay understands that people struggle because he has and does struggle. He aims to connect with his client wherever they may find themselves in life and help guide them through the challenges they face by aligning them with their innate strengths and skills.
