Sabrina has a passion for knowing people deeply and creating a space that is empowering and non-judgemental. She believes the relationship between the therapist and the client is integral to the process of therapy, and as such she puts emphasis on building a connection where you can be seen and supported. Sabrina uses an integrative approach to therapy under a trauma-informed, person-centred lens to explore healing with techniques from an array of models of therapy. She works with clients to address the root issues of present-day concerns through intentional listening and collaboration with client’s individual goals and strengths.
Sabrina has a Master’s in counselling psychology, as well as a Bachelor’s in grief, bereavement, trauma and loss studies. She additionally has completed a certificate of exposure response prevention for OCD, from the Cognitive Behavior Institute Center for Education. She has experience in the mental health field as well as in education and behavioural support. She has experience working with people struggling with depression, anxiety, concurrent disorders, OCD, personality disorders, grief, loss, relationship concerns and attachment issues, and is always working on continued professional development in her free time to gain awareness of culturally responsive, current and updated modalities of practice to support people with evidence-based best practices.
