Psychotherapy and Psycho-educational assessments/ Psychological services are regulated in the province of Ontario, Canada. It is crucial that you reside in Ontario to be able to access Bernadette's and Carolyn's services.
Psychotherapy and Psychological Services are not covered under OHIP, and it is best you contact your extended health provider (EHP) to know what mental health coverage you have under your policy. You may engage in psychotherapy or have a psycho-educational assessment done even if you do not have an EHP. As the client, you are in charge of coming to your appointments and paying for your sessions. Payment is collected at the end of each session, and an official receipt will be provided.
Psychotherapy sessions are typically scheduled face-to-face, but online/video sessions may be arranged in subsequent meetings, provided that privacy is ensured at the client's locations. Depending on the service you require, Bernadette's consultation fee ranges from $140 - $170 for each therapy hour. If you need psychological services, this can be provided only to adults and under the supervision of a clinical psychologist, Dr. Silvia Tenenbaum, C. Psych. The fee for this service is $185 for the therapy hour.
Individual therapy sessions are scheduled for 50 minutes/ therapy hour.
Group therapy sessions are scheduled for 90 minutes/ 1.5 therapy hours.
The remaining 10 minutes is typically reserved to summarize the session and to write down therapy notes.
