Believing in the growth that can be found in the safety of a warm, non-judgmental and respectful therapeutic space, Juliana strives to empower clients to tap into their existing abilities to adapt, resolve, brave life’s challenges, and deepen self-understanding. She's accepting clients aged 17-75 for ADHD Coaching and Psychotherapy, with sessions covered by insurance for "psychotherapy" services.
Juliana supports those struggling with a variety of difficulties. She specializes in working with concerns involving neurodevelopmental conditions (e.g., ADHD, ASD), anxiety, depression, life transitions, low self-esteem, women's issues, communication issues, and artist-block. Her style draws from Cognitive Behavioural, Psychodynamic, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy approaches. Having worked as an artist for many years can additionally help her appreciate the context that both business owners and artists come from.
In her work, Juliana incorporates knowledge from her Sociology undergraduate studies (Race, Class & Gender specialization) and grasps the personal impact of social determinants that relate to systems, colonization, race and ethnicity, class, sexuality, age, ability and marginalization status. This insight helps her tailor treatment in a way that accommodates for these influences to client's behaviour, their response to challenges, and how they perceive themselves and the world. She provides therapy that is trauma-informed, intersectional, and anti-oppressive.Â
Outside of her practice, Juliana finds fulfillment through her photography business, and also enjoys literature, travel, music, and cycling.
